Microsoft Announce On Thursday, Outlook got a new feature that lets you use artificial intelligence to create themes based on your personal preferences.

AI-powered themes are available to people with a Copilot Pro consumer subscription and business accounts with Copilot enabled. It is available on iOS, Android, Windows, Mac, and the web.

With Themes by Copilot, you can create a theme inspired by over 100 sites or create a theme based on your own. You can decide whether you want the theme to update dynamically every few hours, every day, weekly, or monthly.

Once you’ve created a theme, you can choose to display it in a realistic, oil painting, or cartoon style.

“If you enable location permissions in Outlook, the My Location theme will provide you with images uniquely inspired by your region, dynamically updated for you as you head out the door on a trip or vacation,” Microsoft wrote in the blog post. “Similarly, a dynamic weather-based theme will update to reflect the current weather conditions where you are located.”

You can access AI-generated themes via Outlook’s appearance settings.

The company says the new addition will allow people to customize their email service just as they decorate their desks with artwork or candles.

Although the new AI capability doesn’t provide any additional functionality, it does provide a fun way to customize your email app. While Microsoft and Google are both working to bring AI-powered productivity features to their email services, Gmail does not currently offer AI features (Chrome does), which means Outlook users now have greater creative freedom.

Thursday’s announcement comes one day later Microsoft brought AI-powered features for Notepad and Paint. Windows Insiders now have access to a Rewrite tool that lets them rephrase sentences, adjust tone, and adjust the length of their content with the help of artificial intelligence.

As for Paint, Windows Insiders will have access to new AI-powered image editing tools, including a generative fill feature that lets you make adjustments and additions using text prompts. The new generative scanning feature will allow you to remove unwanted objects from your artwork.

Microsoft is putting both features in preview on Windows 11 in the US, France, UK, Canada, Italy and Germany.
