Best gifts for frequent travelers

[ad_1]

What is the best gift you can get someone? Why, a travel gift, of course. The next best thing is something to enhance your travel experience. Although seeing new places is fun and rewarding, the whole getting-there part can detract from the overall experience, especially for those who find themselves traveling a lot for work.

This is the camp I fall into, and as such, I’ve curated a selection of tools that help make the process of getting from point A to point B a little less daunting. Everything listed below is something I use myself and would gladly recommend to anyone you are shopping for.

Apple Airtag – $29; 4 for $99

AirTags and Find My have reprogrammed my brain to a degree that may not be healthy. Anytime I put something down now, the first thing that comes to mind is reaching for my phone. It’s unfortunate that technology isn’t everywhere – right now.

However, these little battery-powered watch accessories provide a lot of peace of mind when it comes to keeping track of your valuables. Put an AirTag on your luggage, one less thing to worry about while traveling.

Bose QuietComfort Ultra – $429

The newest (and most expensive) entry in Bose’s line of travel favorite headphones looks, feels, and sounds great. As far as long-distance travel companions go, you can’t beat the QuietComfort Ultra.

Apple MacBook Air 13-inch M3 – $1,099

If you really want to treat someone this year, the current MacBook Air is a truly excellent travel companion. In fact, the Air is the best laptop Apple has ever made. My only hesitation in recommending it for the holidays is that Apple has yet to offer an M4 version of the device. But the truth is that the M3 is more than enough for most people. Well, even the M2 version — which starts at $999 — is fully capable of running Apple’s new AI suite.

Native Union Voyage 2 Charger – $100

This versatile, ultra-slim little charger can manage your iPhone, AirPods, and Apple Watch. For those who value the freedom of checking in without checking luggage, the accessories aren’t much smaller than the Voyage 2. At $100, the price is perhaps a little steep, but isn’t the whole point of gift-giving to get something for someone they wouldn’t get for themselves?

Nintendo Switch Lite – $199

With Nintendo set to announce its latest consoles sometime next year, the 2024 holiday season could bring some big discounts on products that have been a bit long coming. In fact, the portable-only Switch Lite has already been marked down by about 10% at places like Amazon.

Ozlo Sleep Headphones – $299

I put these earbuds in my guide last year, even though they haven’t been released yet. The hardware is difficult, and the launch has been delayed several times. Now that the Ozlo Sleepbuds are here, I’m happy to have them again. I’m not the sleepy type, but these buds bring me out like a light. I plan to take them on all future trips.

Kindle Paperwhite – $160

The Colorsoft is a fun novelty, but I can’t currently recommend it over Amazon’s tried-and-true Paperwhite. It’s a best-selling Kindle for good reason, and the latest upgrade offers faster page turn and more storage space.
