Lucid Motors’ first Gravity SUV rolled off the company’s production line in Casa Grande, Arizona, according to the British Daily Mail. Share on X. The company will now set its goal of ramping up production of the new electric vehicle and making the first deliveries – although the company is remaining mum on when it will be delivered to customers.
It’s a crucial milestone for Lucid, which has relied on the form factor of its Gravity SUV to make it more successful than its only current model, the Air sedan.
The start of the air was much slower than Lucid had originally expected. While sales have increased in the past few quarters, the company has continued to return to majority owner Saudi Arabia for more cash to ensure it can stay afloat during Gravity’s first year of production and delivery.
Pricing for the entry-level “Grand Touring” version of the Gravity starts at $94,900. The company boasts that it can travel over 440 miles on a full charge. Two electric motors – one front and one rear – help it generate the equivalent of 828 horsepower. It comes standard with two rows, but three rows can be chosen.
A cheaper version of Gravity is scheduled to hit Lucid production lines in “late 2025,” and will be priced starting at $79,900.
