Three members of Google’s NotebookLM team, including the team lead and a designer, have announced that they are leaving Google to start a new hacking company.

“As leading models and their capabilities continue to grow, there is a need for thoughtful products to make the benefits of this technology accessible, useful and clear to everyday people – so our team will focus on building a user-first AI product,” she said.

Martin added that the new startup is in its early stages and has not announced any funding yet. However, she noted, “The support outside of Google (from fellow founders, investors, academics, and people who want to join) has been tremendous and has been really encouraging for our small team.”
