Apple is looking to make the Vision Pro mixed reality device more attractive to gamers and game developers, according to the British newspaper “Daily Mail”. New report From Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman.

The Vision Pro was pitched more as a productivity and media consumption device than one aimed at gamers, partly due to relying on eye and hand controls rather than incorporating a separate controller.

But Apple may need players if it wants to expand the Vision Pro’s audience, especially since Gurman reports that fewer than half a million units have been sold so far. So the company has reportedly spoken with Sony about adding support for the PlayStation VR2’s hand controllers, while also speaking to developers about whether they will support the controllers in their games.

By providing more precise control, Apple can also make other types of software, such as Final Cut Pro or Adobe Photoshop, usable on Vision Pro.
