About “dozens of Musk’s allies” have put the pin in their daily routine to serve as unofficial advisers to Trump’s transition efforts. The New York Times says.
Among those included in the report: Jared Birchall, head of Elon Musk’s family office, interviewed a few candidates for jobs at the State Department; Marc Andreessen spoke with candidates for top positions at the State Department, the Pentagon, and the Department of Health and Human Services; Sean Maguire of Sequoia Capital examines the intelligence community’s choices; Anduril co-founder Trae Stephens and Palantir CTO Shyam Sankar have spoken to Trump transition officials about roles at the Pentagon; Businessmen Mark Pincus and David Marcus participated in interviews with “potential Trump employees.”
According to the Times, even Musk’s mother, May, has gotten in on the transition, recently telling an interviewer that she “loves going to meetings” with her son.
